3 Enuresis causes psychiatric problems. Several studies have shown that suc-
cessful treatment or natural remission of enuresis is accompanied by a
decrease in the rate of psychiatric problems. However, children whose
enuresis has resolved still have a higher rate of psychiatric problems
than controls.
