The Coach’s Journal

It is important for the coach to keep adequate notes on each
coaching session. C oaches should keep a journal to: (a) track
progress of the coaching process for each individual learner,
including documenting goals, next steps, and barriers; and (b)
improve their own skills as a coach through self-reflection.

The following chart is a simple tool that allows for both
documenting the coaching session and for self-reflection and growth
on the part of the coach.
