Yerba mate: Yerba mate contains 196 active chemicals, including 24 vitamins
and minerals, 15 amino acids, and 11 polyphenols—a group of phytochemicals
that act as powerful antioxidants. These are: vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, niacin
(B3), B5, B complex; the minerals calcium, manganese, iron, selenium,
potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus; and various additional compounds,
including fatty acids, chlorophyll, flavonols, polyphenols, trace minerals,
antioxidants, pantothenic acid, and 15 amino acids.
