Extracts (Pomegranate) — Bark extract (with casuarinin, ellagitannin, and punicortein C, cyto-

toxic to melanoma (ED50=2-4 μg/ml cf <0.01 μg/ml for Actinomycin) (HH2). Extracts of abortive

male flowers are hypoglycemic in diabetic rats (X10837992). Pomegranate juice has antiatherogenic

effects that may be attributable to its antioxidative properties (X10799367).
