gratitude
If you weren’t aware already, I am a huge Green Bay
Packers fan. You could call me a cheesehead. If you love
football like I do, you know that it takes a whole team to
create champions, even though the quarterback often gets
most of the credit. I am honored to be the quarterback of
this book; however, it took a whole team to create such a
champion.
The quarterback often buys the offensive line special gifts
to show his gratitude for a successful and safe season,
and I would like to take a moment to thank my team for
such an amazing book.
If I had to break down my team, I would have to thank our
coach, Erich, who calls me even on Sunday afternoons
just to check in and say, “Hi!” And offensive line coach,
Lance, who always keeps me updated on the latest.
I want to thank my “center,” marketing and sales, which is
Susan and the sales team at Victory Belt.
The “guards” on my team were my amazingly talented
editors, Holly and Pam, who have the most spectacular
eyes for detail and make the recipes (our “plays”) read
smoothly.
My “tackles” would be Bill and Haley, who helped create
such a beautiful cover for my book!
My “running backs” are my recipe testers, to whom I can
“hand off” recipes to test with their families and make sure
every recipe is extra-tasty. Thank you, Wendy and Kristie,
for tackling the intense job of testing my recipes.
My “draft scout,” Jimmy Moore, introduced me to Victory
Belt years ago and is my coauthor on the international
bestselling book The Ketogenic Cookbook.
