So what happens if you withdraw attention from the
objectsinspaceandbecomeawareof spaceitself.>What is
the essenceof this room? The furniture,pictures,and so on
are intheroom, buttheyare notthe room. The floor,walls,
andceilingdefinetheboundaryoftheroom,buttheyarenot
the room either.Sowhat is theessenceof the room? Space,
ofcourse,emptyspace.Therewouldbeno"room"withoutit.
Sincespaceis"nothing,"wecansaythatwhatisnotthereis
moreimportant thanwhat is there. So becomeaware of the
spacethatisallaroundyou.Don'tthinkaboutit.Feelit,asit
were.Payattentionto"nothing."
