AUDIO PRO C 10 MKII
£ 359 , audiopro.com
Sweden’s Audio Pro has a well-deserved
reputation for pin-sharp sound, and with the
second iteration of its boomy box it is
attempting to pick up plaudits for its multiroom
management, too. The C 10 MkII doesn’t just
add Airplay 2 support, it brings on Google Cast
too, so it’ll fit right in to your existing multiroom
setup. That’s not all: Audio Pro’s own multiroom
functionality makes it in, controlled by the
company’s app, and there’s Bluetooth support
too. It also changes up the design of the
original, including a magnetic cloth front which
you can switch out with others as suits the
specifics of your decor, and a newly revised
bass port and electronics package to further
refine the sound. You can even directly hook up
a turntable, or jump to your favourite playlists
or radio stations with its six built-in presets.
T 3 SAYS: One box fits all – this is the new hi-fi.
ASUS CHROMEBOOK CX 9
£ 1 , 300 , asus.com
ChromeOS, as a platform, may be growing
faster than any other at this moment. A whole
host of peripheral manufacturers are
announcing certification, and a long list of
compatible hardware is being released. While
Asus’ Chromebook CX9 – technically the
CX9400, if we’re being picky – may scream
overkill with its Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU, 1 6GB
RAM, 512GB SSD and twin Thunderbolt 4
ports, we’re not sure if this hardware package
is way more than a Chromebook needs or
exactly what it needs. A powerhouse machine,
ready for tough online tasks and able to keep
up with all your media needs. A versatile
machine, with a pen-compatible touch screen,
a four-speaker Harman-Kardon-tuned audio
system, and the ability to run Linux and
Android apps if you need them. Not bad at all.
T 3 SAYS: Not a gamer’s dream, but a wonder.
