6 Click The whiskers from the list of subject titles.
The fi nal component of the boxplot are the whiskers. These are lines
that extend from the boxplot to the highest and lowest points that
lie inside the moderate outliers. Thus the lines indicate the smallest
and largest values in the distribution that are not considered outli-
ers. The length of the whisker lines also gives you a further indica-
tion of the skewness of the distribution.
