The values of these test statistics will also be displayed in the output of
StatPlus’s two-sample t test command.

Applying the t Test to Two-Sample Data


The Nursing Home workbook contains data from a random sample of nurs-
ing homes collected by the Department of Health and Social Services in
New Mexico in 1988. The following variables were collected:

To open the Nursing Home workbook:

1 Open the Nursing Home workbook from the Chapter06 folder.
2 Save the workbook as Nursing Home Analysis to the same folder.
The workbook appears as shown in Figure 6-18.
