Before going further, this would be a good time to save your work.
To save your work:
1 Click the Offi ce button and then click Save.
2 Save the workbook as Gas Sales Data in your student folder.
Formulas and Functions
Not all of the values displayed in a workbook come from data entry. Some
values are calculated using formulas and functions. A formula always begins
with an equals sign ( 5 ) followed by a function name, number, text string,
or cell reference. Most functions contain mathematical operators such as 1
or 2. A list of mathematical operators is shown in Table 2-4.
