Answers
1 A root folder stores all resources for a website in a common location, ensuring that the
links you create to images or other pages in the site will work when the site is uploaded
to a server.
2 WYSIWYG applications provide a preview of your web page in a Design view, allowing
you to create web pages or make changes to your page without accessing the HTML or
CSS code directly. Additionally, WYSIWYG applications have site management tools for
keeping fi les organized and uploading content to a web server.
3 Design, Split, and Code views are accessible when working with Dreamweaver or
Expression Web. Design view displays the layout of the page; Code view displays the
code but not the layout; and Split view displays both the layout and the code.
