ايَ ءَ مْ

ٓ

ِ
ب م ُّ رٌحْسِ
13 Yet when Our enlightening signs
came to them, they said, “This is
obvious witchcraft.”

تنَ
َ
ق
ْ
يتَ
ْ
مً ا ٱس
ْ
ل
ُ
ظمْ

َ
ا ۚ فوًّ
ُ
لعُ
َ
رْ و
ُ
ٱنظ
ُ
ة
َ
بقِ
ٰ
عَ
َ
ان
َ
ك
َ
ف
ْ
ي
َ
ك
َ
يندِسِ
ْ
فمُ
ْ
ٱل
14 And they rejected them, although
their souls were certain of them, out
of wickedness and pride. So see
how the outcome was for the
mischief-makers.
ا وُ َا دنَ ١٥

ْ
د
َ
ق
َ
ل
َ
ۥدَ و
َ
الا
َ
ق
َ
مًا ۖ و
ْ
ل عِ
َ
ن
ٰ
مَ
ْ
ي

دحَ مْ
ْ
هِ ٱ ل
َّ
ىذِ لِل
َّ
هِادِ ٱل
َ
ب عِ
ْ
ن
ِّ
م
ٍ
يرثِ
َ
ك
ٰ
ى
َ
ا عَ لَن
َ
ل
َّ
ض
َ
ف
َ
ينِنمِ
ْ
ؤمُ
ْ
ٱل
15 And We gave David and Solomon
knowledge. They said, “Praise Allah,
who has favored us over many of
His believing servants.”
ا وُ َد ١٦

َ

ِ
ر
َ
و
َ
ا هَ ي ُّ ۖ ۥدَ و
َ
أ
ٓ
ٰ
َ ي

ا ل

ُ
اس َّٱلن
َ
قن طِ ا مَ َنمْ
ِّ
لعُ
ِ
ر
ْ
ي
َّ
ٱلط
َّ
ن
ِ
إ ۖ ءٍ
ْ
ى
َ
ش
ِّ
ل
ُ
ن كا مِ ينَ ِوت
ُ
أ
َ
و
َ
و
ُ
ه
َ
ا ل
َ
ذ
ٰ
هَ
ُ
ل
ْ
ض
َ
ف
ْ
ٱل
ُ
ين
ِ
بمُ
ْ
ٱل
16 And Solomon succeeded David.
He said, “O people, we were taught
the language of birds, and we were
given from everything. This is indeed
a real blessing.”

ُ

َ

َ
ۥ و
َ
ن ِّ نمِ
ِ
ج
ْ
ٱل

ٱلإ

ر
ْ
ي
َّ
ٱلط
َ
ون
ُ
ع
َ
وز
ُ
ي
ْ
م
ُ
ه
َ
ف
17 To the service of Solomon were
mobilized his troops of sprites, and
men, and birds—all held in strict
order.

ا

ذ
ِ
إ
ٓ
ٰ
ىحَ ت َّ
ِ
لمْ َّٱلن
ٌ

لمْ

ن تْ

ا ل
َ
ق
ا هَ ي ُّ
َ
أ
ٓ
ٰ
ي َ
ُ
لمْ َّٱلن
۟
وا
ُ
ل
ُ
مْ خٱدْ
ُ
كن َّ
َ
مطِ يَ حْ
َ
لامْ
ُ
كَنكِ ٰ
َ
س
َ
م
ُ
ه
ُ
ودُنجُ
َ
و
ُ
ن
ٰ
َ
م
ْ
ي
َ
ل
ُ
ۥ س
َ
ونرُعُ
ْ
يَ ش
َ
لامْ
ُ
ه
َ
و
18 Until, when they came upon the
Valley of Ants, an ant said, “O ants!
Go into your nests, lest Solomon
and his troops crush you without
noticing.”

عَ لتَ عَ مْ

ضرْ
َ
ا تحً ِل
ٰ
َ
ص
َ
ل
َ
معْ
َ
أ
ْ
ن
َ
أ
َ
و
َّ
ىدَ ِل
ٰ
َ
و
ٰ
ى
َ
عَ ل
َ
و
َكا دِ
َ
بى عِ ف َكِ تِ
َ
محْ
َ
ر
ِ
ى بنِ
ْ
لخِ دْ
َ
أ
َ
و
َ
ينحِ ِل
ٰ
ٱلص َّ
19 He smiled and laughed at her
words, and said, “My Lord, direct me
to be thankful for the blessings you
have bestowed upon me and upon
my parents, and to do good works
that please You. And admit me, by
Your grace, into the company of
Your virtuous servants.”

ٱل
20 Then he inspected the birds, and
said, “Why do I not see the hoopoe?
Or is he among the absentees?

هبَن َّ
ِّ
عَ ذ
ُ
َ
ۥ لأ
ُ
ه َّب َ حَ ن
ْ
ذ
۟
ا
َ
َ
لأ
ْ
و
َ
ا أي دً دِ
َ
ا شًا ب
َ
ۥٓ ع َ ذ
ْ
و
َ
أ
ٍ
ين
ِ
ب م ُّ
ٍ
ن
ٰ
َ
ط
ْ
ل
ُ
س
ِ
ى ب
ِّ
ن
َ
يِت
ْ
أ
َ
ي
َ
ل
21 I will punish him most severely, or
slay him, unless he gives me a valid
excuse.”
