SOCIAL APPLICATIONS DRIVE ENGAGEMENT
What else can you with YouTube? A lot, as it turns out. Conduct interviews
with customers and employees, and then post them: In Chapter 3, “Build a Social
Business,” Freescale’s use of YouTube for employment videos and product announce-
ments was noted. You can show customers using your products, offer testimonials, and
provide coverage of your own presentations as a part of your outreach and thought
leadership efforts. Figure 12.3 shows a video of a presentation with Intuit CEO Brad
Smith, as he talks about what Intuit has learned as it embraces social technology as a
business. You can fi nd the video on YouTube by searching for its title, “User Generated

fi rm’s coming to grips with some of the very challenges that any organization imple-
menting social technology is likely to face.
