EXAMPLE 11-2 FACE BRICK


Using the west wall that was quantified in the previous example,
most of the dimensions can be reused. The gross area will be
slightly different, as the exterior face dimensions will be used rather
than the face dimensions of the concrete block.


Assuming modular brick, there are 675 bricks per 100 sf of
wall (refer to Figure 11.6).


The labor hours and labor costs can be determined using the pro-
ductivity rates found in Figure 11.14.
