The sum of the exterior angles of any polygon is always 360 o.

This fact is useful for finding the size of an interior angle of a regular polygon.

Example 6 Self Tutor


A regular polygon has 15 sides. Calculate the size of each interior angle.

For a 15 -sided polygon, each exterior angle is 360 o¥15 = 24o
) each interior angle is 180 o¡ 24 o= 156o
