Self-esteem is the key to man's motivation—by virtue either of its presence or of its absence. And perhaps the most
eloquent testimony to the urgency of man's need of self-esteem, is the terror that haunts the lives of those who fail
to achieve it, the twisted paths along which that terror drives them—and the inevitable wreckage at the end.
