Cholangitis
Cholangitis is an acute bacterial infection of the biliary tree that commonly
occurs secondary to obstruction, usually from gallstones (choledocholithiasis) or
primary sclerosis cholangitis (progressive inflammation of the biliary tree associ-
ated with ulcerative colitis). Gram-negative enterics (eg, E. coli, Enterobacter,
