DC Fundamentals Unit 6 – Ohm's Law
Exercise 1 – Ohm's Law - Circuit Resistance ...........................................................................
EXERCISE OBJECTIVE
When you have completed this exercise, you will be able to determine resistance by using Ohm's
law. You will verify your results with a multimeter.
DISCUSSION
- Resistance is a property of an electrical circuit that opposes the flow of current in that circuit.
- In an electrical circuit where the voltage is held constant, the current flow is inversely
proportional to the resistance in the circuit. - When voltage and current values are known, apply Ohm’s law to determine circuit
resistance.
