EXERCISE OBJECTIVE
When you have completed this exercise, you will be able to demonstrate voltage distribution by
using a voltage divider circuit. You will verify your results with a multimeter.
EXERCISE DISCUSSION
- In a voltage divider circuit, the ratio of circuit resistances determines the divider output.
- As the load resistance of a voltage divider decreases, the load voltage decreases.
- As the load resistance of a voltage divider decreases, the total circuit resistance decreases and
the total current increases.
