As long as the royal descendants remain within the Monarchy and fulfil their royal
duties, their needs are met by the monarchy. However, as it happens, every so
often some royal heirs will decide to abdicate and quit the rigours of the monarchy,
and their privilege disappears almost immediately they make this unfortunate
decision. They are no longer heirs in line to the throne. And by now we understand
and appreciate the inherent spiritual value of being heirs.
Once royals have lost their position of kingship and become ordinary by royalty
standards, they no longer have access to the immense wealth and other resources,
and this puts them in a position where they have to labour for their upkeep.
This analogy ties well with the story of the prodigal, and the words of Matthew
6:33. The children of the King are not born to chase after things. They are not born
to pursue wealth and pleasure for themselves. They are not born to serve
themselves. Instead, they are born privileged and having everything so that they
can focus on service to the kingdom at the pleasure of the monarch.
The children of royalty are supposed to put the kingdom first, to seek the kingdom
first, and all the other things will be added unto them. Why? Because their father
or mother as the case might be, the monarch, has everything they need, and it’s all
theirs. And because they were born for a purpose, and the father or mother needs
them to serve and propagate the kingdom. Their sole duty is to reign together with
the monarch, and acquire exceedingly more duties as they mature into this role,
until such a time as they will ascend the throne themselves. They are heirs in
waiting, and they must conduct themselves that way.
From the time they are born, these heirs, kings and queens in waiting, are taught
the way of the monarchy, how to serve and to rule, how to conduct themselves.
They are trained in all sorts of valuable skills, and for these reasons are a head
above the rest of the citizens in their pedigree. 1 Samuel 9:2 & 1 7 , Kish had a son
named Saul, as handsome a young man as could be found anywhere in Israel, and he was
a head taller than anyone else. ....When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the Lord said to him,
“This is the man I spoke to you about; he will govern my people.”
