In this story of the talents, it is good to note that, regardless of how many talents
each of the servants was given, when the Master came back, he rewarded every
servant who had invested and produced fruit from his share of talents. The only
servant who was cast out is the one who did not invest or bear any fruit.
This is a good lesson for all of us, children of God. God is not comparing us to each
other; He is not measuring your success with that of anyone else. He knows what
gifts, what grace, what anointing, what ability He has given you. And He is asking,
“What have you done with what I have given you? Have you invested and produced fruit
for me? Or have you buried it in the ground so that it has become stifled and can’t produce
fruit?”
God is not asking how much talent you have, but whether you have produced
fruit from the talent He has given you.
