  1. The Table Import Wizard window opens. Select the Microsoft SQL Server option, as
    shown in Figure 58-18.

  1. Click Next. The Connect to a Microsoft SQL Server Database dialog window opens.
    Type the SQL Server name, and select the AdventureWorksDW2012 database from
    the list.

  2. Click Next. The Impersonation Information dialog window opens. In this window
    you specify the credentials that Analysis Services will use to connect to the data
    source when establishing a connection import and process data. You can choose
    a specifi c Windows username and password or use the credentials of the Analysis
    Services service account.


Best Practices


In high security environments, it is always recommended to use a separate Windows username and
password to connect to the data sources in case the service account is compromised.
