If there is no traffi c produced from the principal to the mirror, the Database Mirroring Monitor refl ects that (refer to
Figure 27-10).
- Click the History button to see the database mirroring history, as shown in
Figure 27-11. - The Database Mirroring Monitor also enables you to set warning thresholds. Click
the Warnings tab. By default, thresholds are not enabled. To set the thresholds, click
Set Thresholds. On the Set Warning Thresholds dialog box, as shown in Figure 27-12,
check the warning for the principal and mirror server and type the value. Click OK to
continue. The Warning tab, as shown in Figure 27-13, can now have the thresholds.
When a threshold is exceeded, an event logs to the Application Event log. To auto-
matically monitor these events, you can either confi gure an alert on the event using
SQL Server Management Studio or Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
