your weaknesses and delegate jobs based on those strengths and
weaknesses.


“We know pretty clearly who’s who,” says Montero. “She
gives me so much pressure and I give it to her. I don’t let her do
something that’s not her best.”
The look on Raij’s face as he says this is both amused and
defensive. (“What does he consider not my best?” I can imagine
her thinking.) But clearly they find each other amusing and, more
important, their two voices fuse together seamlessly on the plate.


“No one else can make our food,” says Raij. “It’s our story.”
And the story, quite clearly, is a romance.
