(Project Pridr) #1

Why Wind wall

A wind wall of the same height as the tube bundles is used to prevent warm air re
circulation, which may be a problem under strong wind conditions

Why Condenser Platform is Elevated Above Ground

The Condenser platform is elevated above ground and supported by Steel of RCC
Structure. The height of this structure is chosen to assure an average air access
velocity of not more than 5m/sec. this is necessary to achieve low air inlet pressure
loss and even air flow distribution

Why Ejector System Installed Above CST Floor

To discharge condensate in CST

Why Fin Tube in ACC

The finned tubes are necessary because of the low thermal conductivity, low density
and low heat capacity of air. The larger surface area required to obtain a given heat
removal rate, the area increasing with the design ambient air temperature, also
means that the footprint of air-cooled condensers is larger than their water cooled
equivalents.

TYPE OF FINS

  1. G-FIN (EMBEDDED FIN

    • High efficiency fin for higher operating temperatures (Up to 400 oC).

    • Rectangular cross section aluminum fin wrapped under tension & embedded
      in

    • 0.25 mm deep groove spirally cut on the tube.

    • Applicable on any readily Machin able tube material
