Many another difficulty will stretch itself

acrosstheupward pathastheaspirantessaysto

treadit,butaresolutewillandadevotedheart,

lighted by knowledge, will conquer all in the

endandwillreachtheSupremeGoal. Torest

on the Law is one of the secretsof peace,to

trust itutterly at all times,not least whenthe

gloomdescends. Nosoulthataspirescanever

fail to rise; no heart that loves can ever be

abandoned. Difficultiesexistonlythatinover-

comingthemwemaygrowstrong,andtheyonly

whohavesufferedareabletosave.
