Part Two – CHARCOAL
the artist wanted.
THE INCISED LINE
The incised line is a line that seems to cut
across the paper implying a sense of
direction. It is made by using the charcoal on
its side to make this precise line. This method
of drawing not only picks up the dynamics of
direction through the outline of the figure,
but at the same time it informs us of the
changing planes of the form within the
figures.
