Sang Bai Pi Cortex Mori albae radicis 9 g
Zhi Gan Cao Radix Glycyrrhizae uralensis praeparata 3 g
Geng Mi Semen Oryzae sativae 6 g
Qing Dai Indigo naturalis 9 g
Hai Ge Ke Concha Cyclinae sinensis 12 g
Explanation
- The formula Xie Bai San clears Lung-Heat. Di Gu Pi also stops bleeding.
- The formula Qing Dai San clears Liver-Fire and Lung Phlegm-Heat. Qing Dai also stops
bleeding.
Variations
- To harmonize Blood (stop bleeding, eliminate stasis, calm and nourish Blood) add Bai Ji
Rhizoma Bletillae striatae, Ou Jie Nodus Nelumbinis nuciferae rhizomatis, San Qi Radix
Notoginseng, Sheng Di Huang Radix Rehmanniae glutinosae and Dang Gui Radix
Angelicae sinensis. - To astringe add Wu Wei Zi Fructus Schisandrae chinensis.
- To treat Qi add Mu Li Concha Ostreae to firm Qi and Niu Xi Radix Achyranthis
bidentatae seu Cyathulae to conduct Blood downwards. - If symptoms of Liver-Fire are pronounced add Mu Dan Pi Cortex Moutan radicis, Zhi Zi
Fructus Gardeniae jasminoidis and Huang Qin Radix Scutellariae baicalensis.
