Clinical Manifestations

Chronic breathlessness, cough with expectoration of white-watery sputum, a feeling of
oppression of the chest, palpitations, oedema, scanty urination, chilliness.

Tongue: Pale, Swollen, wet.

Pulse: Deep-Weak-Slow.

This condition is due to deficiency of Yang of Lung and Kidneys leading to the accumulation of
Phlegm-Fluids in the Lungs and Heart. The expectoration of white-watery sputum is typical of
Phlegm-Fluids.

Treatment Principle

Tonify and warm Lung and Kidneys, resolve Phlegm-Fluids, stimulate the descending of
Lung-Qi.
