This is an excellent pill to strengthen Kidney-Yang and tonify the Lung and Kidney's
Defensive-Qi systems. It can be used to treat the Root-cause of seasonal allergic rhinitis. It
should be remembered, however, that it is hot in energy and should be used with caution if there
is some Heat in the body (for example, Damp-Heat in the Bladder) or if there is, in addition to a
Kidney-Yang deficiency, also a slight Kidney-Yin deficiency. In the latter case, this remedy can
be combined with a lesser dose of one to nourish Kidney-Yin. for example, the main remedy
Quan Lu Wan could be taken in the morning and midday (8 pills each time), and the Liu Wei Di
Huang Wan Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill could be taken in the evening in a lesser dose (6 pills
only).
