Tongue: Red with a sticky-yellow coating.
Pulse: Slippery and Rapid or Weak-Floating, slightly Slippery and Rapid.
This condition is similar to Phlegm-Heat cough at the acute stage. It differs from it in so far as it
is a chronic condition occurring on a background of Spleen deficiency.
Treatment Principle
Clear Heat, resolve Phlegm, tonify the Spleen, restore the descending of Lung-Qi and stop
cough.

LU-5 Chize, Ren-12 Zhongwan, Ren-9 Shuifen, ST-40 Fenglong, SP-6 Sanyinjiao, BL-20 Pishu,
ST-36 Zusanli, BL-13 Feishu, Du-14 Dazhui and L.I.-11 Quchi. Reinforce Ren-12, BL-20, and
ST-36; reduce all the others. No moxa.

- Du-14 and L.I.-11 clear Heat.
