Explanation
This is one of the formulae for clearing residual Heat, especially from the diaphragm area.
- Zhu Ye and Shi Gao are pungent and cold and clear Heat by pushing it outwards.
- Ban Xia harmonizes the Stomach, subdues rebellious Qi in the diaphragm and stops
nausea. - Mai Dong and Ren Shen, tonify Qi and Yin since Qi is weakened by an external
invasion and Yin is injured by Heat. - Gan Cao and Geng Mi harmonize the Stomach.
