Explanation
- LIV-2 drains Liver-Fire.
- T.B.-17 is the main local point for this type of tinnitus. The needle should be inserted to a
depth of 1 cun and the needling sensation should be very strong. - T.B.-5 subdues Liver-Yang.
- T.B.-3 subdues Liver-Yang and eases the ears.
- G.B.-43 drains Gall-Bladder Fire and affects the ears.
- G.B.-20 subdues Liver-Yang and eases the ear if needled with the tip of the needle
pointing towards the area between eye and ear on the same side. In other words, the
needle is oblique towards the front of the face. - G.B.-8 is an adjacent point which eases the ear and subdues Liver-Yang.
