Explanation
This pill nourishes Kidney-Yin and the Kidney-Essence. It is particularly indicated to treat
complicated cases of a primary condition of Kidney-Yin deficiency with some symptoms of
Kidney-Yin deficiency: this condition is more common in women. For example, a woman,
typically over 40, may have all the symptoms and signs of Kidney-Yin deficiency such as hot
flushes, night-sweating, malar flush, dizziness and dry throat, but may also suffer from cold feet
and frequent-pale urination. For this reason, this remedy is particularly indicated for women.
The tongue presentation appropriate to this remedy is a Red and Thin body (but not too Red),
with a rootless coating.

This is a very widely used remedy for any type of Kidney-Yin deficiency. It may be slightly
difficult to digest and its dosage should be decreased if the patient experiences any digestive
discomfort.
