Sha Ren Fructus seu Semen Amomi 4.5 g
Mu Xiang Radic Saussureae 3 g
Xiang Fu Rhizoma Cypoeri rotundi 9 g
Qing Pi Pericarpium Citri reticulatae viridae 4.5 g
Chen Pi Pericarpium Citri reticulatae 4.5 g
Ding Xiang Flos Caryophylli 3 g
Zhi Gan Cao Radix Glycyrrhizae uralensis praeparata 6 g

Explanation



  • Bai Dou Kou, Hou Po and Sha Ren fragrantly transform Dampness. Hou Po also opens
    the diaphragm and relaxes the chest.

  • Mu Xiang, Xiang Fu, Qing Pi and Chen Pi move Qi and eliminate stagnation.

  • Ding Xiang harmonizes the Middle and subdues rebellious Qi in the Middle Burner.

  • Zhi Gan Cao, in a higher does than when it is used only to harmonize, is here to soothe
    the Liver and eliminate stagnation. This is according to the principle that the sweet taste
    (pertaining to Earth) soothes the Liver (pertaining to Wood).

  • Sheng Jiang harmonizes and regulates the Stomach.


This prescription regulates Qi, eliminates stagnation in the Middle Burner, resolves Dampness
and opens the diaphragm.
