Xuan Fu Hua Flos Inulae 9 g
Xiang Fu Rhizoma Cyperi rotundi 6 g
Su Geng Radix Perillae frutescentis 6 g
Yu Jin Tuber Curcumae 6 g
Zhi Ke Fructus Citri aurantii 6 g
Si Gua Luo Fasciculus Luffae vascularis 6 g

Explanation



  • Xuan Fu Hua makes Qi descend in the chest.

  • Xiang Fu, Yu Jin and Zhi Ke move Qi.

  • Su Geng relaxes the chest.

  • Si Gua Luo invigorates the channels in the chest.


Variations



  • If there is stagnation of Heart-Qi from emotional problems and the patient is unhappy,
    taciturn and likes to be alone, add He Huan Pi Cortex Albizziae julibrissin.

  • If there is stagnation of Qi on a background of Yin deficiency add Fu Shou Fructus Citri
    sarcodactylis which moves Qi without injuring Yin.

  • If there is stagnation of Lung-Qi as well add Jie Geng Radix Platycodi grandiflori, Zi
