Explanation
- Ban Xia, emperor herb, resolves Phlegm, harmonizes the Stomach and stops nausea and
vomiting. - Zhu Ru, minister herb, clears Fire, resolves Phlegm, stops nausea and vomiting and
calms the mind. - Zhi Shi, assistant herb, moves Qi which helps to resolve Phlegm and makes Stomach-Qi
descend. - Chen Pi and Fu Ling, also assistant herbs, dry Dampness which helps to resolve Phlegm
and harmonize the Stomach. - Sheng Jiang, Da Zao and Gan Cao, messenger herbs, harmonize the Stomach and
attune the decoction.
