Explanation


This tea resolves Dampness, clears Heat and moves Qi. It is therefore used for epigastric pain
from Damp-Heat and some stagnation of Qi.


The main manifestations addressed by this tea would therefore be a feeling of heaviness and
fullness of the epigastrium, nausea, a Slippery pulse and a sticky-yellow tongue coating.

Explanation


This pill, already explained above under "Cold invading the Stomach", is suitable also to treat
Damp-Heat in the Stomach, although its main emphasis is on resolving Dampness rather than
clearing Heat.


Dietary Advice


The patient should avoid eating too many fried foods, bananas and peanuts.
