Explanation
- Huang Qi tonifies Spleen- and Lung-Qi.
- Chen Pi is combined with Huang Qi to prevent the formation of Dampness when
tonifying. - Huo Ma Ren moves downwards by moistening the Intestines.
- Honey mildly tonifies Qi and moistens the Intestines to move downwards.
Variations
- If there is very pronounced Qi deficiency add Dang Shen Radix Codonopsis pilosulae
and Shan Yao Radix Dioscoreae oppositae.
