Xiao Ji was added to stop bleeding from the bladder as the drug
treatment causes profuse bleeding.
While he was having the drug treatment, the Chinese herbs helped him
to boost his energy and minimize the side-effects. After 3 months of
drug treatment, the tongue coating had reduced considerably, but the
tongue body was still Reddish-Purple and his pulse was still Full,
Slippery and Wiry. In addition, the tongue had also lost its "spirit" on
the root indicating a Kidney deficiency. The carcinoma in the bladder
had gone. Thus, although from the point of view of Western medicine
he was "cured", the tongue and pulse showed that this was not the case.
In particular, the very Full, Slippery and Wiry pulse showed that the
pathogenic factors (i.e. the stasis of Blood and Damp-Heat causing the

Tian Kui Zi, Shi Shang Bai and Bai Hua She She Cao resolve
Damp-Heat and have an anti-cancer effect.
Huang Qi tonifies Qi, and raises immunity to combat and prevent
cancer.
E Zhu breaks Blood and has an anti-cancer effect.
