Dong Kui Zi Semen Abutiloni seu Malvae 6 g

Qu Mai Herba Dianthi 6 g

Che Qian Zi Semen Plantaginis 6 g

Hua Shi Talcum 6 g

Explanation

All these herbs in this formula, already explained in this chapter, drain Damp-Heat, open the
Water passages and relieve urinary dysfunction.

Variations

• The above formula can be taken as a decoction together with Hu Po Succinum and Chen
  Xiang Lignum Aquilariae (3 g of each) ground into a powder.


• To strengthen the stone-expelling power add Jin Qian Cao Herba Desmodii styracifolii
  and Hai Jin Sha Spora Lygodii japonici. Jin Qian Cao can be drunk as an infusion every
  day also to prevent the formation of new stones after some have been expelled.


• If there is stagnation of Qi add Xiang Fu Rhizoma Cyperi rotundi, Wu Yao Radix
  Linderae strychnifoliae and Yan Hu Suo Rhizoma Corydalis yanhusuo.


• If there is stasis of Blood with a stabbing pain add Tao Ren Semen Persicae and Yan Hu
  Suo Rhizoma Corydalis yanhusuo.
