Explanation
The first five herbs constitute the Wu Pi San which is specific to resolve oedema from Lung and
Spleen deficiency.
The rest of the herbs constitute the Wei Ling Tang (in itself composed of Ping Wei San
Balancing the Stomach Powder and Wu Ling San Five "Ling" Powder) which resolves
Dampness, harmonizes the Stomach, promotes diuresis and resolves oedema.
