Explanation
This formula is used if there is a prevalence of Wind-Cold.
- Fu Ling and Gui Zhi in combination invigorate Yang and transform Water. Gui Zhi also
releases the Exterior and expels Wind-Cold. - Fu Ping drains Dampness and is specific to resolve oedema.
- Xing Ren helps to release the Exterior and regulate Water by stimulating the descending
of Lung-Qi. - Ze Xie transforms Water and resolves oedema by promoting diuresis.
- Ban Xia helps to resolve Water by resolving Phlegm.
- Gan Cao harmonizes.
