onhisInstagrampage,KanderaccusesTheBig
Issueof publishinga photo(viaAlamy)of one
of hismostfamousimages– a portraitof film
directorDavidLynch– withouthispermission.
‘A “photographer”goestooneof my
exhibitionsandphotographsmyframedprint
of DavidLynch,’a clearlyaggrievedKander
writes.‘HeuploadsthispicturetoAlamy.Now
thisweekTheBigIssuepublishesaninterview
withDavidandbuysthisdespicablyshot
picture of my photograph, crops in and uses it
onthecover....Unbelievableblatantcopyright
infringement...I wouldneverhavewantedthis
photographsold.’
