(c) Pronouns may need to be changed (e.g.él, ‘he’, or ella, ‘she’, instead of yo, ‘I’; me,
‘me’, instead of te, you).

I don’t want to see you again.
(Ella) me dijo que no quería volver a verme.
She told me she didn’t want to see me again.
(d) The person of the verb may have to change (e.g. fue, ‘he/she went’, instead of fui,
‘I went’).

(e) Time perspective may call for the substitution of adverbs of time and other
time phrases (e.g. al día siguiente, ‘the following day’, instead of mañana,
‘tomorrow’).

He/she said he/she was leaving/would leave the following day.
(f) Space perspective may require adjustments in words and phrases related to space,
including direction (e.g. aquí, ‘here’, instead of allí, ‘there’; traer, ‘to bring’, instead of
llevar, ‘to take’).

I will take it there myself.
Dijo que él mismo lo traería aquí.
He said he would bring it here himself.
Space perspective may sometimes call for changes in demonstratives (e.g.ése, ‘that
