possible for a IoT system architect to select the protocols, functional
components, architectural options, needed to build their concrete IoT systems.
It is worth noting that a side effect of considering legacy system (through SOTA
analysis) when establishing the ARM is to ease interoperability of new IoT
systems with the legacy ones. The main aim of the IoT ARM can be explained
using the pictorial representation shown in Figure 2 below.
