The answer to every clue in this puzzle has an anagram. To solve, answer
a clue, then rearrange its letters to get a new word, name, phrase or other
crossword entry to be filled in the grid. For example, 1-Across, “Rights org.,”
is ACLU. That’s an anagram of UCLA, which you may enter at 1-Across.

SPELLING BEE
By Frank Longo
How many common words of 5 or more letters can
you spell using the letters in the hive? Every answer

letters. Proper names and hyphenated words are not
allowed. Score 1 point for each answer, and 3 points
for a word that uses all 7 letters.

CIRCUIT BOARD
By Kousha Nejad
Connect the points on the circuit board so that every
point is connected to either one or three (never two)
other points, and so that no areas are enclosed. When
you’re done, all the points must be interconnected.

Ex.

Each answer begins in the correspondingly
numbered space and proceeds clockwise around the
S, ending in the space before the next consecutive
number. The chain of 11 answers will snake its way
around the grid twice.
