“People sometimeswonder,isitadance,isitafight,”he

blurred – it wasfirstinventedbyAfricanslavesinBrazil,as

How a martial art made DEATHLOOP’s invasions irresistible

BACK AROUND

The games that brought Dinga Bakaba to Deathloop

WOLFENSTEIN 3D
“The action and fluidity was
extremely impressive at the
time. The immersion, the
weapons, the violence – and
seeing the tricks the level
designers played.”

ULTIMA UNDERWORLD
“You’re discovering the
ecosystem – which monster
is hostile to what creature,
where do underground rivers
go. The interactivity had a
strong impact on me.”

ANOTHER WORLD
“Very inspiring. It’s all silent,
so everything is expressed
through body language.
Knowing it was made by
a French man made it
seem possible.”
