Then Moses confronted Aaron about what he had done.ìAnd Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee,
that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?î Exodus 32:21
ìAnd Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou
knowest the people, that they are set on mischief. For they said
unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this
Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is become of him. And I said unto them,
Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it
me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.î
Exodus 32:22-24 (emphasis mine)
Instead of taking responsibility for what he had done Aaron first blamed the
people. When that reasoning was unsuccessful he then blamed the fire for his
own disobedience to God.
Letís Just Praise the Lord?
Then there are those pastors that know itís not the birthday of Jesus but donít
say anything about it to their congregations. Or they openly state things like, ìWe
know that this is not His birthday, but we are using this season to honor the
Lord.î
This also is compromising the Word of God and conforming to the world
system of beliefs.
Again the bible tells us,ìAnd be not conformed to this world: (and itís superficial
customs) but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect,
will of God.î Romans 12:2 (emphasis mine)
