ìBut when [John the Baptist] saw many of the Pharisees and
Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O
generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath
to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And
think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our
father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to
raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid
unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth
not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.î
Matthew 3:7-10
No longer is it necessary to
fight the heathen hordes as
they did during the Crusades,
now Pope John Paul II calls
Muslims brothers. In the photo
(left) is a picture of John Paul
II kissing the Koran.
ìIn a 4/3/91 letter written by Pope John Paul II, addressed
to my beloved Muslim brothers and sisters, the Pope said, ëI
close my greeting to you with the words of one of my
predecessors Pope Gregory VII, who in 1076 wrote to Al-
Nasir, the Muslim ruler of Bijaya, present day Algeria: ìWe
believe in and confess one God, admittedly in a different
way, and daily praise and venerate him, the creator of the
world and the ruler of this world.îíî 26
Although Muslimís make the claim that Allah and Jehovah are the same God,
this is an out and out lie. Allah is the moon god of the tribe that the prophet
Mohammed belonged to. But Pope John Paul II also makes the proclamation
that Allah and Jehovah are the same as well!
ìÖ(Muslims) together with us adore the one, merciful God.î 27
ìWe Christians joyfully recognize the religious values we
have in common with Islam. Today I would like to repeat
what I said to young Muslims some years ago in
Casablanca: ëWe believe in the same God, the one God, the
living God, the God who created the world and brings his
creatures to their perfection.íî 28 (emphasis mine)
